DELIBR PRODUCT MANAGEMENT GLOSSARY

Dual-track agile

Dual-track agile

What is dual track agile?

Dual-track agile is an agile approach whereby discovery and delivery in the product management process are split into 2 parallel tracks. The discovery track generates and validated product ideas for the backlog, and the delivery track turns those ideas into working software (Glossary: agile values). The discovery to delivery process is continuously iterated throughout the product lifecycle and in this way. Both tracks, discovery and delivery, happens concurrently, with a great deal of cross-team collaboration.

The benefits of dual-track agile are speed and an improvement in the quality of product development work.

The product manager and/ or product owner oversees and facilitating the flow of work for both tracks.
